INTERSTATE

CATCH FLIGHTS NOT FEELINGS

This is probably the most straightforward travel guide for one of our Spilt Milk destinations, but if you’re travelling from interstate Perth Airport is going to be your best bet. Look to Jetstar, Qantas and Virgin for daily flights to Perth Airport (and keep in mind the no daylight savings and different timezone situation).

Getting to the city is about a 25 minute drive or 20 minute train ride on the Airport Line from Airport Central. If you’re heading straight to the festival, the same train will take you all the way to Claremont Station in around 35 minutes. Simple as.

CHOO-CHOO-CHOOSE THE SCENIC ROUTE

Tick a big one off the bucket list on your way to Spilt and catch the iconic Indian Pacific Train to Perth from Sydney or Adelaide. From Sydney, the luxury train ride is four days (three nights) of travel plus adventure time. If you’re boarding in Adelaide, you obviously miss the NSW leg of the journey and save a day and a night in time. This is by far the wildest and most expensive route to Spilt Milk but for lovers of the journey as much as the destination, you could be onto a real winner here.

FROM REGIONAL WA

DRIVE

Much like the famous Roman idiom, (almost) all WA roads lead to Perth. Whether you’re heading north, south or towards the coast, load up your car, load up a playlist and you’ll be knocking on Spilt Milk’s door in next to no time. If you’re driving in just for the day, keep an eye on our socials for designated pick up, drop off and parking areas closer to the event date.

TRAIN

WA is pretty well connected via the train network, however we don’t recommend catching a regional train on event day unless you’re planning to spend the night in Perth (because who would want to miss the closing acts?). Regional cities like Kalgoorlie and Bunbury do have daily services which you can check out at via Transwa. That link is also your go-to for planning more complex trips on PT. Godspeed.

BUS

Ok more specifically, coaches. Similar to the above, Transwa coaches operate on a regular schedule connecting Perth and the regional hubs of Western Australia. It’s probably the most economical route depending on where you’re coming from, but it’s always worth checking out charter options if you’re thinking party bus (or even just a chill bus) with your mates. Good vibes, no designated driver duties, and a guaranteed lift home at the end of the night. Sounds good to us. We’d recommend investigating and booking ahead as early as possible.
